The Posse's ROAR, Inc.
Spreading the word of God's Love to all

OUR MISSION
The Posse’s ROAR is a holistic nonprofit service that caters to the total person’s needs (body, soul and spirit). We provide service to people of all backgrounds, sex and nationalities. Our target age is 13 years and older. We are rooted and grounded in the spiritual principles of Love, Faith and Patience.
HISTORY
In 1979, a group of ordained ministers formed “The Posse”. The Posse formed an alliance to labor in prayer to pull down strongholds and everything that would exhort itself against the power of God. The original members of the group were Apostle Wilhelmina Cherry, Evangelist Gloria Hunter, Evangelist Doris Johnson, Pastor Ruth Manuel, Pastor Linda Salisbury, Prophetess Bernice Simmons, and Elder Nina Traore.
In 2013, The Lord spoke to Pamela C. Jones to honor the “Posse” and their work of advancing the Kingdom of God. She shared this idea with numerous people about putting together a banquette to celebrate these Beautiful Women of God. However it did not manifest and years passed. Moreover, God had called his servant Pastor Ruth Manuel home to Glory. Pamela again went to God for clarity of her assignment for honoring the Posse. After consulting God and the Holy Spirit, the mission became clear. God gave her the mission to start a non-profit organization in the Honor of the Posse. She then shared this with her mother Evangelist Gloria Hunter and she was so pleased to hear about the mission. Her mother told her “to always treat people the way you want to be treated and always honor God with your best”. Next, Pamela shared this mission with Apostle Wilhelmina Cherry on March 29, 2014 and she gave the mission her blessings. She continued her research and Consulting with the Lord. God gave her the name ROAR in April 2014, however it was not complete. On July 13, 2014 God called another member of the Posse home to Glory, Evangelist Gloria Hunter. She had given the Women of God the name Posse and she and all of the members worshipped God and did ministry unhindered. They taught their children, through their life’s legacy to honor God, help others and always love.
Moreover, on August 5, 2014 Pamela went to Pastor Linda Salisbury to let her know the mission God gave her to honor the Posse and she was honored and pronounced her blessings upon the work. Shortly after meeting with Pastor Salisbury God solidified the name of the non-profit The Posse’s ROAR. On August 26, 2014 oracles of incorporation were filed and granted at 1:11pm and The Posse’s ROAR became a legal entity.

Posse's ROAR Activities

Senior Center Annual Blanket Drive
This initiative provides warm blankets for those in Senior Centers we serve. We purchase the blankets ourselves, so that the residents in these facilities can feel the warmth that comes not only from the blankets that we offer, but also from knowing that people remember them and care. If you would like to donate items, time, or other resources to our cause you may do so by getting in touch with our team today.
Annual School Supplies Drive/Giveaway
Posse's ROAR members purchase, organize and distribute school supplies for families within our community. Backpacks, composition books, crayons, pencils, glue sticks, scissors and other items are all collected and handed out to the families in our community. Prayers for a successful and happy school year are offered as well as hot dogs and refreshments to nourish those that stop by to receive their share.

Homeless Winter Clothing/Blanket Distribution
The Posse's ROAR holds an annual Homeless Winter Clothing and Blanket Distribution for those living through the harsh Baltimore winter without shelter. We purchase as many blankets, hats, scarves, warm socks, gloves and coats as we can afford and distribute them to as many as we can serve. Each year we purchased more than the previous year, but it is never enough. The most heart-breaking thing we do is to tell people "we're sorry, but we've run out". Feel free to contact us to learn more about our commitment to this cause or contribute to our effort.
Prayer Breakfast
Through prayer and sharing of food, we build bonds in the community we serve. We hold this event to strengthen our ties, but also to show how community-based prayer can strengthen the community we live in through God's love.

Youth Mentoring
The Posse's ROAR also holds events in which we invite community leaders, business leaders, and religious leaders to offer guidance and inspiration to the youth in our community. Our first scholarship was given recently and the recipient successfully graduated from Kenwood High School and will be in college because of the scholarship he received. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
